چکیده
Contemporary farming practices and rapid industrialization over the last few decades, have raised significant soil water pollution with extreme toxic effects to humans ecosystems. The widespread inefficient use of pesticides, which surpass soil’s self purification capability, has accelerated pollution. In this study, wheat straw biochar was obtained using traditional pyrolysis technique its characterization; in addition, adsorption efficiency metribuzin investigated. Biochars’ physical chemical characteristics were qualified scanning electron microscopy Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. A batch sorption test liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry also used assess efficiency. SEM FTIR confirmed highly reactive surfaces biochar, establishing efficient biomass conversion low-oxygen conditions. process showed best fit pseudo second-order kinetic Langmuir models, suggesting a chemisorption procedure monolayer-type removal. Regarding environmental agricultural application, can be advanced as recommendation solution for further research, is fundamental rehabilitation immobilization contaminations.

Removal of Metribuzin Herbicide from Aqueous Solution Using Corn Cob
Agricultural solid waste (corn cob) has been investigated asbiosorbent for removal of metribuzin herbicide from aqueous solution. Parameters influencing extraction efficiency such as pH of the sample, contact time of sample with biosorbent, shaking time, temperature, heating time, sorbent dose were studied. Maximum sorption of metribuzinwas found at pH 5.0. The sorption of metribuzin on corn co...

We investigate the mechanical and thermal properties of cellulose nanofiber reinforced starch based thermoplastic composites. Cellulose nanofibers were isolated from wheat straw by a chemi-mechanical technique. Their morphology, physicochemical and thermal properties were investigated to examine potential applications as reinforcement fibers in biocomposites. Transmission electron microscopy re...
متن کاملCombustion of pellets from wheat straw
The alternative energy sources are more and more used for production of heat. Several new combustion devices allow co-firing of different fuels, like dendromass and phytomass. The article analyses combustion of wood and straw pellets in the same boiler. Measurements were realized in two automatic heat sources – one is adapted to burn pellets made from wood or straw and another allows only burni...
متن کاملEthanol production from mixtures of wheat straw and wheat meal
BACKGROUND Bioethanol can be produced from sugar-rich, starch-rich (first generation; 1G) or lignocellulosic (second generation; 2G) raw materials. Integration of 2G ethanol with 1G could facilitate the introduction of the 2G technology. The capital cost per ton of fuel produced would be diminished and better utilization of the biomass can be achieved. It would, furthermore, decrease the energy...
متن کاملInfluence of high gravity process conditions on the environmental impact of ethanol production from wheat straw.
Biofuel production processes at high gravity are currently under development. Most of these processes however use sugars or first generation feedstocks as substrate. This paper presents the results of a life cycle assessment (LCA) of the production of bio-ethanol at high gravity conditions from a second generation feedstock, namely, wheat straw. The LCA used lab results of a set of 36 process c...
